All-Star season summary - updated 7/18

            The Eights played in a double-elimination tournament at Newark National LL.  The team was managed by Jack Fallon.  Members of the team were Trevor Blohm, Theo Bojarski, Luke DiRocco, Jack Fallon, Brayden Kucharski, Declan McLaughlin, Jake Moorhead, Guy Salvadori,  Cole Starke, Dominic Starr, Logan Tweedle, and Brycen Wyatt.  The team beat Brandywine 7-5 and Naamans 14-8 in their first two games.  In the winners bracket final, they lost to the combined Newark (National and American) team, 18-15. Then they lost to Canal 19-6 to finish in 3rd place.  The Newark team won the tournament
            The Nines played a double-elimination tournament at Capitol LL.  The team was managed by Dave Price.  Members of the team were Boden Davis, Cameron Fischer, Jackson Fullwood, Matt Guarino, Tyrrell Hammond, Domenick Harrar, Owen Nelson, Austin Price, Francis Ryan, Colin Steele, Noah Zickgraf, and Rohan Zielinski.  The team lost both of their games to Canal and Naamans, who both made it to the championship game.  Canal won.
            The Tens played a double-elimination tournament at Naamans LL.   The team was managed by Pat McGrory.  Members of the team were:  Jake Allen, Jayden Carrion, Ryan Cascino, Ben Chorlton, Ashton Guevarez, Brandon Guevarez, Travis McGrory, Thomas Murphy, Kameron Rogers, Zachary Saunders, Shane Sklodowski, and Kole Turchen.  The team lost their opener to Naamans 7-6, but bounced back to beat New Castle 9-4 and Newark National 9-3.  They then lost to Brandywine 10-9 to finish in 4th place.
            The Major District All-Stars played in a double-elimination tournament.   The team had a first-round bye and then lost to Canal 7-2.  But bounced back to rout Newark National 14-3 and shut out Brandywine 4-0.  They then beat Naamans 5-2 to advance to the championship game and a rematch with Canal.  Canal won the district title, 15-2.   The team was managed by John Nelson, assisted by Steve Harden and AJ Zickgraf.  Members of the team were: Luke Crowley, Chase Harden, DeAndre Harris, Cameron Hinckle, Paul Kamenitzer, Ryker Lewis, Carter Nelson, John Nich, Tyler Protas, Matt Saunders, Liam Sherlock, August Zickgraf, and Brendan Zielinski.
            The Brandywine Invitational team consisted of 11-12yo who don't make the District team.  Games were played at Brandywine LL.  The team was managed by Jack Edmiston and Jack Agnew, assisted by Anthony Bogan, Jeremy Conner, Dan Mitchell, Pat McGrory, Nick Palloni, and Rick Cascino.  Members of the team were Carter Bogan, Liam Cannon, Alan Cascino, Caden Conner, Joseph DeBright, Keynan Hunter, Thomas Lawhorn, Bryce Lepore, Carter Marlowe, Tom McGrory, Jayden Mitchell, McKeon Neef, and Shane Palloni.  The team went 1-3,  losing to Canal 11-6, Suburban 6-4 and Brandywine 7-6, but beating Naamans 15-8.  .
            The Junior District All-Stars played in a double-elimination tournament at District 2 fields.  There were 5 teams in the tournament.  Mid-Cap beat Newark National 6-5 in 8 innings but lost to Naamans 12-2.  They then beat Brandywine 6-5 to advance to the championship game where they lost again to Naamans, 13-2.  The team was managed by Shaun Watson, assisted by Jimmy Lynch, Joe Tobin, and Mike Bartkowski.  Members of the team were:  Carter Bartkowski, Ethan Brantley, Jacob Doyle, Eughan Driscoll, Gavin Erbayri, Luke Marcelo, Peter McCarron, Colin McLaughlin, Anthony Padilla, Vinny Starr, Ryan Strawbridge, Patrick Tobin, and Chase Watson.
            The Senior District All-Stars played in a double-elimination tournament at District 2 fields.  There were 6 teams in the tournament.  Mid-Cap had a first round bye and beat Newark National 15-7, but lost to Brandywine 12-1 in the winners bracket final and Naamans 6-4 in the losers bracket final .  They finished in 3rd.  Brandywine beat Naamans in the championship game.   Members of the team were:  Dylan Crawford, Kensho Dey, James Garrett, KJ Jerram, Josh Kamenitzer, Ty Kamenitzer, Ryan Lawville, Jermane Miller, Will Outslay, Braedon Peterson, Casey Prucino, Andrew Shields, and Seth Strecker.
