Player Evaluations

Player evaluations

Evaluation sessions are used to assign players to teams and divisions based on skill level. When registering your child, please select the highest division you would like them to participate in. This does not guarantee that they will play in that division, since divisions are split up by skill level.

Majors and Minor-A evaluations

All players LL ages 8-12 are required to participate in Majors & Minor-A evaluations. The only exception is if an 8-year-old requests to play Minor-B, in which case they should attend the Minor-B evaluations. Parents will be emailed a 1-hour time slot a few days before the event.

12-year-olds MUST be drafted by a Majors team.
11-year-olds that played in Majors the previous Spring MUST be drafted by a Majors team.
11-year-olds that did not play in Majors the previous Spring MAY be drafted by a Majors team. If they are not drafted by a Majors team, they WILL be drafted by a Minor-A team.
10-year-olds that are not drafted by a Majors team, or those that elect not to be eligible for the Majors draft, WILL be drafted by a Minor-A team.
9-year-olds WILL be drafted by a Minor-A team, unless there is a concern for safety.
8-year-olds that are not drafted by a Minor-A team, or those that elect not to be eligible for the Minor-A draft, WILL be placed on a Minor-B team.

Minor-B evaluations

All players LL ages 6 and 7 (and 8 if they request to play Minor-B) are encouraged to participate in Minor-B evaluations. The only exception is if a 6-year-old requests to play Tee Ball, in which case they should attend the Tee-Ball Clinic. Parents will be emailed a 1-hour time slot a few days before the event.

8-year-olds that elect not to be eligible for the Minor-A draft WILL be placed on a Minor-B team.
7-year-olds WILL be placed on a Minor-B team.
6-year-olds that request Minor-B AND have played at least one year of Tee-Ball WILL be placed on a Minor-B team unless there is a concern for safety.

Juniors & Seniors evaluations

All players LL ages 13-16 are required to participate in Juniors & Seniors evaluations. Parents will be emailed a time slot a few days before the event.
